3JW embraced the Roman culture this week, from writing formal letters to watching chariot racing and recounting the information in a diary.
On Wednesday, the children wrote a persuasive advertisement to persuade people to join the Roman army! The children used persuasive sentence openers, imperative verbs and questions to create an amazing advertisement. We also researched what benefits Romans received from joining the army and what requirements had to be met.
Zy Zy, Kyle and Wesley dressed up in a Roman centurion outfit and attempted to persuade our class to join the Roman army! All three were successful.
Watch Zy Zy try to persuade everyone in our class!
