Wythenshawe Park

Year1-WHComments Off on Wythenshawe Park

Y1 went on a trip to Wythenshawe Park to explore their local area. They looked at different areas of the park, exploring the fields, horticultural garden, Wythenshaw Hall etc. It was great fun to see what our local area has to offer and to experience the miniature animals and houses in the fairy garden, observe the fish and listen to the budgies tweeting!

The children also collected natural resources such as twigs, acorns, sticks and logs. These natural resources were used afterwards when Y1 looked at an artist called Andy Goldsworthy (he is known for creating land art) and recreated one of his famous sculptures.
