Rack House hosted the latest Manchester Healthy Schools Voicebox meeting this afternoon where Councillors and Eco Warriors from schools across Manchester came together.
Well done to our year 3 and 4 Rights Respecting Councillors and Eco Warriors – Marco, Callum, Lilly, Esme, Ayeza, Lacie-Jay, Mohamed and Noah. They tried every activity, joined in with discussions, answered questions and represented us brilliantly.
They learnt about important life skills, such as teamwork and self-belief, and how they use those skills in their roles. They thought about mental health and practiced yoga mindfulness, making them all feel relaxed and sleepy! Finally, they learnt about Safer Internet day and ways to protect your personal information online.
Thank you to the kitchen staff for the delicious healthy snacks too!
As a Rights Respecting School, it was great to see all the children enjoying their rights, such as Article 12 – You have the right to give your opinion and for adults to listen and take it seriously, Article 24 – You have the right to the best possible healthcare and information to help you stay well and Article 31 – You have the right to play and rest.
