Three of our year 6 School Councillors, Sade, Nataya and Lucas, attended a local Pupil Parliament Meeting today.
Firstly, they listened to the Youth Parliament and asked them questions.
They then took part in a debate about whether single use carrier bags should be banned. They learnt about the House of Commons and debated as if they were there! As you can see from the middle picture, Lucas stood up and gave his opinion that the bags should be banned for environmental reasons.
Finally, they presented brilliantly about what makes Britain great. Well done!
The Councillors all received certificates at the end of the day.
