Year 5 to return!

Hello parents, we are now open to Nursery, Reception, Year 1 & Year 6 children. We also have our key worker children in school and all is going well with the Health & Safety of all staff and children at the fore of all we do.

Yesterday, the government announced that we can open to other year groups if we have the capacity to do so. We only have the capacity and space to open to one more Year groups so we will be contacting parents of al Year 5 children to see if they wish to return to school from next Monday 22nd June.

We will be opening for mornings and afternoons and parents will be given am or pm slots for their children to attend. We have chosen this year group as they will be completing their SATs next year, and going along with government guidance in Secondary schools, we are asking children who have examinations next year to come back to school. I hope most parents will take advantage of this opportunity to bring back a semblance of normality to our children.

We hope to be open to all children from September, however we must see what the government decides before we can make definite plans. The infection rate seems to be decreasing as does the mortality rate at the moment and we all hope this continues to decline. Shops are opening and our community sees green shoots of normality.

It will be great to welcome everyone back as soon as we can. In the meantime, we will keep providing Zoom meetings, work packs for children and direct education for those children attending school.

Stay Safe
