We have a have had a busy half term especially for our Year 2 and 6 children who will completed their statutory SATs tests. For our Year 6 children the next half term will be their last at Rack House and for some parents, it will mean that you no longer make the walk to Rack House! It is important though for our Year 6 children that they keep working hard next term and enjoy their last few weeks with us.
We have two weeks off at these holidays and do not return until Tuesday 11th June so may I take this time to wish you a happy holiday where you will, hopefully be able to enjoy the lovely weather we are having.
When we return our Year 1 children will have their phonics tests starting June 17th which have to show how well they are doing.
Dates for your diary for next term
Please note that we have changed sports day to 27th June this year from the 20th. This is an educational trip on the 20th June and I do not want to see any of our children miss sports day.

On Monday of this week year 3 AR produced their Class Assembly about the Topic they have learnt about, Anglo-Saxons. The children clearly enjoyed the Topic and had learnt numerous new facts, which they happily shared with the rest of the school. Well done Year 3.
Today our Year 4 class, JW produced an assembly, which celebrated The Queen’s Official Birthday. This is part of our assemblies about British Values where we share different information about Britain, which helps makes our society.
Well done to all our children who worked hard and produced an excellent assembly.
At our assembly today, we celebrated children’s achievements of attending school constantly and gift vouchers were given to children who were lucky enough to be picked out in assembly. It is vitally important that children come to school when they are well enough to do so. Our children will only learn and progress educationally when they are in school. Well done to those who received a voucher today.
After School Club
Can I remind all parents that they should contact the school office if they wish their children to attend the club. Prices remain the same as last year and we hope you take advantage of this extra service.
Due to our expanding school, we are continuing to have staggered lunchtimes. This proved to be very successful last year and the children and staff are happy with the arrangements. The weekly menu is available on the school website. The option of a halal dinner continues to be available this school year. The cost of a school dinner is £2.20 per day (£11 per week). A selection of fruit is available at dinner times to encourage healthy eating!
The schools holiday list for 2019 – 2020 is on the school web site.
Please could I ask parents when they park near the building please turn off your engines as the fumes are entering the classrooms. Also please respect our neighbours who live in the adjacent streets and allow them space to enter and exit their driveways.
