School Closure – Tuesday 5th July
The NUT (National Union of Teachers) have voted to strike on Tuesday 5th July. A large proportion of the teachers at Rack House are in this union and I have no alternative but to close the school to pupils for the day. I realise that this will cause inconvenience for many so I am informing you at the earliest opportunity.
There is a trip for our Year 4 children that day which will be going ahead. We have teachers who are not on strike and TA’s who will attend with the children to ensure their day is not affected by this industrial action. Children will wear school uniform for this trip and are asked to arrive at school via the front office for this day, at 9.00 am. The coach will depart at 9.15 am and will return to school for normal home time.
May I once again apologise for this inconvenience but the safety of the children is at the heart of this decision.
